Saint Saviour stunning live tracks and interview

Saint Saviour
It’s been fantastic to watch Becky Jones go from strength to strength as Saint Saviour. The Groove Armada co-writer and collaborator (on the Grammy nominated Black Light) has been slowly and carefully constructing her career as a solo artist. Now with stunning album Union out there and a deal with concert promoting giants AEG Live she’s off on tour with Wall, it’s going to be awesome. Songwriter, producer, musician, singer... fiercely independent and set for greatness.

Kal Lavelle and Fiona Bevan session videos

Just showin' the girls a thing or two... Kal Lavelle (right) and Fiona Bevan (left)

Irish singer-songwriter Kal Lavelle and Suffolk folstress Fiona Bevan came and joined me in studio as joint Artist of the Week on Amazing Radio Breakfast. They both run excellent live music nights in London and have been firm friends for years, lovely session, lovely chat...

Nadine Shah on The Other Woman - listen again

Nadine Shah
This week we welcome back Nadine Shah to The Other Woman. You may remember we caught up with this Newcastle lass earlier in the year, she’s all bubbly and hilarious in interviews but boy oh boy, sit her down at the piano and get super producer Ben Hillier at the mixing desk and it’s a different story altogether – dark, dramatic and moody as hell. Yeah!

Listen again with Annie from Hysterical Injury

Annie Gardiner - Hysterical Injury
On the show this week we kick off with a brand new track from Torquay's Big Wave who're releasing on our favourite little indie Soft Power Records up in Edinburgh. There's a new project from piano playing chanteuse Catherine AD, Pale Fire, that gets an airing and we're psyched about brand new ukulele/banjo player Valerie June, she makes Organic Moonshine Roots Music - tune in to find out what that sounds like.

Kimberly Anne session video - Never Be Yours

South London lass Kimberly Anne was my artist of the week on Amazing Breakfast last week and she popped in for a chat and a session. She's a Brit School Alumni but all that hoo-ha kind of freaked her out, she kept a low profile and is now finding her voice:

Listen again with Laura from Ultraista in conversation

Laura Bettinson/ Ultraista
On The Other Woman this week we kicked off with a new single from Bristol bass and drums two piece Hysterical Injury, from their album Dead Wolf Situation.

There’s also a new single from Dublin born, Botswana raised, Berlin dweller Candice Gordon, Cannibal of Love is just what she promised – she said it would be ‘trashy’ and we love it.

Throwing Up provide some dirty garage rock for your ears and we hear from Laura Bettinson formerly of one woman music making machine Dimbleby & Capper who’s now working with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich as Ultraista

Listen again with Sue Denim in conversation

Sue Denim and David Wrench drop by for a session
Delighted to kick off this week's show with the wonderfully talented Jesca Hoop, a live session track recorded for Afternoons on Amazing Radio. She popped in and had a chat with Greg and we caught up with her on the phone on Breakfast last week, she's also recorded live tracks for Simon Raymonde's show. Our aim is have her interviewed by all of us eventually and her whole album as live session tracks before the year is out! We're on
a mission!
