Brooklyn singer songwriter Sharon Van Etten blew the roof off Cargo in east London last night. Well, 'blew the roof off' in the only way that you can with a polite, respectful, packed audience hanging on every word, laughing at every joke (there were many) and bringing down the house after every song. What a show - if you missed it, she's back on May 16th for her biggest show yet at Scala.

Well now her album Tramp has been unleashed on the world on Jagjaguwar and is already topping best album of the year lists, and it's only March!
Van Etten worked with Aaron Dessner from The National on this record, working from his home studio in a leafy part of Brooklyn. Guests on the record include Jenn Wasner from Baltimore duo Wye Oak and the wonderfully ethereal Julianna Barwick...
